Hello, I'm Terry Mellors. I discovered breathwork and the Wim Hof Method after a BBC programme and a cold shower. That one moment made such an impact on my health and inner world that I founded The Breathing Effect.
Fascination followed from there. Breathing techniques have been used for thousands of years, and the most respected modern methods are now supported by science: the Wim Hof Method, Buteyko and Patrick McKeown's Oxygen Advantage.
The work is simple in principle: by breathing properly, people can learn to influence pain, inflammation, stress, anxiety and performance.

The Breathing Effect Offers
Having already gained certifications in two of the world's most respected and trusted breathing methods, WHM and Buteyko, we are looking forward to completing the trinity with Oxygen Advantage.
This will allow us to provide a fully rounded support package for all areas of breathing, including health, performance, and, most importantly, support for more people of all ages, backgrounds, and personal goals.
Coaching routes
Terry's first encounter with breath, cold and mindset changed his life. He trained at Innerfire in Poland and became a Wim Hof Method instructor.
His second challenge was to travel to Ireland to train as a Buteyko therapist. Buteyko helps people reset breathing mechanics through nasal breathing, simple exercises and the Control Pause breath hold test.
The final part of the trinity and the third certification will be announced soon when trinity breathe officially launches.
Starts with nasal breathing and builds into a complete system for performance, health, CO2 balance, BOLT score, stamina and recovery.
